Olusegun Michael Ogundele is a research scientist with special interest in conservation science and traditional knowledge systems, the science – policy interface, political ecology, environmental and circular economy management. He specializes in investigating ecological changes and conservation with indigenous and local knowledge systems. His work spans across several indigenous peoples and local communities in Nigeria and the West African sub-region. He is experienced in community mobilization and youth engagement for conservation action. Ogundele is actively involved in international platforms like the International Science – Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
