Megan MacInnes grew up in a crofting community on the Isle of Skye and now lives on the remote peninsula of Applecross in the NW Highlands of Scotland. She is employed as the Manager of a local community development trust in Applecross, works on her family’s croft and is a Board Member of Community Land Scotland, the membership network for community land owner groups. She worked internationally on indigenous and community land rights campaigns for 15 years, including with Global Witness, and between 2017 and 2023 held the position of Scottish Land Commissioner.
